Indeloop develops a modular thermochemical waste-to-resource system LOOPER designed for the treatment of waste streams. The system is intended for the conversion of selected carbon-containing materials into syngas, which can then be used for thermal energy generation, electrical energy generation, or further hydrogen extraction, depending on project objectives and end-user requirements.

LOOPER is being developed with flexibility in mind. It is suitable for waste streams such as sewage sludge, RDF, biomass, textile waste, non-recyclable plastics, and other materials of organic origin, subject to feedstock testing and process validation. This enables adaptation to different markets, local waste availability, and end-use strategies.

In addition to gaseous outputs, the process also generates a solid residue with further valorisation potential, including possible use in the production of construction materials. This strengthens the circular economy dimension of the solution and helps create additional value beyond the core energy pathway.
