A Cross-Border Hydrogen Valley

The North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV), funded under Horizon Europe, brings together Croatia, Slovenia, and the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia to produce 5,000 tonnes of clean hydrogen per year. The LOOPER is positioned as one of several contributing technologies for the regional hydrogen economy.

Cross-border collaboration unlocks shared infrastructure — pipelines, off-takers, fuelling stations — that single-country projects cannot economically justify. The LOOPER’s modular design lets each member region deploy at the scale matching its local feedstock availability.
