North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley

The North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV) is a project focused on developing an integrated hydrogen ecosystem connecting Croatia, Slovenia and the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The project connects hydrogen production, distribution, storage and use through a network of demonstration projects, with the aim of developing a regional hydrogen market and increasing production to more than 5,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually.

Within NAHV, Indeloop leads a demonstration testbed in Zagreb focused on hydrogen production from locally available non-recyclable waste streams. LOOPER is being developed as part of an integrated energy system connecting waste conversion, hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and local energy use, exploring the potential to link waste management with the development of the regional hydrogen economy.
