AshCycle: Successful Testing of LOOPER Solid Residue in Construction Materials
Testing within the AshCycle project demonstrates the potential use of solid residue from the LOOPER process in new construction materials.
As part of the AshCycle project, funded through the Horizon Europe programme, testing was carried out to assess the potential use of solid residue from the LOOPER process in construction material formulations.
The results demonstrated the potential for integrating LOOPER solid residue into geopolymer materials, opening opportunities for its further valorisation as a secondary raw material rather than disposal as a process residue.
The testing covers properties relevant to the intended applications, including mechanical stability and material behaviour. The results represent an important step towards further validation and scaling of solutions for use in construction products.
