NAHV Develops Cross-Border Hydrogen Valley Targeting Over 5,000 Tonnes of Hydrogen Annually

North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV) is developing a cross-border hydrogen ecosystem connecting Croatia, Slovenia and the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The project covers hydrogen production, storage, distribution and use through a network of demonstration projects across industry, energy and transport.

NAHV aims to establish a regional hydrogen market and achieve annual hydrogen production of more than 5,000 tonnes, including the cross-border exchange of part of the hydrogen produced between the participating countries.

Within the project, Indeloop leads a demonstration testbed in Zagreb focused on developing LOOPER technology for hydrogen production from locally available non-recyclable waste streams, connecting waste management with the development of the regional hydrogen economy.
